Purpose of the visit: Exchange of experience in the field of reproductive biology and problems of carcinogenesis in breast cancer

Programme:

Week 1

• Meeting with project partners professor Donat and professor Kleynshtein and discussion on opportunities for exchange of experience and training in reproductive medicine and technology.
• Visit to the Clinic for reproductive medicine and gynecologic endocrinology at the Medical Faculty of Otto-von-Guericke-University, Magdeburg: Exchange of know-how and work was performed in embryological in vitro laboratory in center of the Medical Faculty of Otto-von-Guericke-University. 
• Training in modern and perspective methods for in vitro cultivation of oocytes and embryos.

Week 2

• Participation in Congress of Society of Gynecologist in Magdeburg on the problems of contemporary approaches to therapy of breast cancer.
• Studies were performed on the processes of immunomodulation and participation of immunocompetent cells in the pathogenesis of breast cancer. By immunohistochemical methods were investigated expression of SD8, SD25 and SD4 in normal control tissue and biopsies of ductal breast cancer. 
• Determination of clinical indicators in the collection of tissue samples from breast cancer.

During the mobility of Roumen Dimitrov the main topics in the programme “Exchange of experience in the field of reproductive biology and problems of carcinogenesis in breast cancer, and learning new methods and approaches to the implementation of assisted reproduction in humans” were successfully completed.
