    REINFORCEMENT OF THE RESEARCH CAPACITY OF THE BULGARIAN INSTITUTE “BIOLOGY AND IMMUNOLOGY OF REPRODUCTION”

          Recruitment of scientists that have left the IBIR-BAS and are working abroad


          Recruitment of former IBIR-BAS researchers, who obtained good qualification by working abroad for long periods of time, is of major priority for the ReProForce programme. The programme will support the integration and functioning of scientific projects of these researchers in already technically upgraded working environment.

           

          Their research profiles are of great importance for IBIR-BAS. Therefore, accumulation of experimental evidence in these contemporary topics will be very valuable, revealing opportunities for practical application in the medicine dealing with problems of reproductive health. Intensive work in these topics will allow establishing a close relationship between applied science and medicine.

          Two candidates deposited applications in response to the advertisements in internet for recruitment of experienced scientists. They were interviewed and, after approval, employed as senior scientists that will promote the major objectives for increase of scientific capacities according to ReProForce project.

          Hiring of two experienced lab technicians 

          The renovation and upgrading of technical resources of IBIR-BAS will necessitate the training of highly qualified specialists for its service. The renewed laboratories will need to be exploited by highly trained staff. ReProForce programme gives an opportunity to employ two highly qualified specialists for its service. The main criteria for the applicants will be: very good scientific background in biology, excellent computer skills and proficiency in scientific English.

          They will provide the support of the new apparatus as well as permanent training courses for IBIR-BAS scientific groups and national collaborators using the new equipment.

          Two candidates deposited applications in response to the advertisements in internet for recruitment of technical specialists. They were interviewed and, after approval, only Georgi Nikolov (CV) was employed in the laboratory for cell culture and physical and chemical analyses.

           

          According to the working programme of the project, two vacant places are announced:

          • Technical specialist for the laboratory of in vitro fertilization and embryotransfer.
          • Assistant Manager of the project.
